RAWILL reports six months net loss of $28.75 million

R.A. Williams Distributors Limited (RAWILL) reported a 20% increase in revenue for the six months ended October 30, 2025, totaling $902.01 million, compared with $754.48 million in the corresponding period last year. Revenue for the second quarter increased by 32% to $484.99 million, compared with $367.04 million for the comparable quarter of 2024.

Cost of sales amounted to $532.93 million (2024: $393.66 million), representing a 35% year-over-year increase. Consequently, gross profit increased by 2% to $369.08 million, compared with $360.82 million for the six months ended October 30, 2024. Gross profit for the second quarter totaled $180.84 million, versus $170.66 million reported for the similar quarter of 2024.

Administrative and general expenses increased by 12% to $212.92 million (2024: $190.19 million), while selling and distribution expenses increased by 26%, rising from $117.36 million in 2024 to $148.42 million during the period under review. As a result, total expenses for the six months ended October 30, 2025, amounted to $361.34 million, a 17% increase relative to $307.55 million reported in 2024.

The company recorded an operating profit of $7.74 million for the six months ended October 30, 2025, compared with an operating profit of $53.27 million reported in 2024. For the second quarter, the operating loss amounted to $7.42 million (2024: operating profit of $5.05 million). Other income totaled $353,224, representing a 187% increase from the corresponding period last year (2024: $122,875).

Finance costs for the six months ended October 30, 2025, amounted to $36.84 million, a 5% decrease relative to $38.79 million reported in 2024. Finance costs for the second quarter amounted to $19.76 million (2024: $19.07 million).

Loss before taxation for the six months ended October 30, 2025, amounted to $28.75 million, compared with a profit before taxation of $14.61 million reported in 2024. No taxation was reported for the period.

Consequently, loss per share for the six months amounted to $0.015 (2024: EPS of $0.004), while loss per share for the quarter totaled $0.014 (2024: LPS of $0.009). The trailing twelve-month LPS stood at $0.004, based on 2,000,000,000 shares in issue.

Notably, RAWILL’s stock price closed the trading period on December 12, 2025, at $0.36.

Balance Sheet Highlights

Total assets amounted to $1.75 billion (2024: $1.42 billion). This increase was primarily attributable to inventories totaling $861.71 million (2024: $540.59 million).

Shareholders’ equity stood at $741.45 million (2024: $749.21 million), representing a book value per share of $0.37 (2024: $0.37).
