Fixed Income Securities

The buying and selling of securities with a fixed maturity date and pays interest (the coupon) every year. Each bond has a fixed maturity date (when the money borrowed is paid back), a coupon and a nominal value (the capital amount borrowed). The bonds trade at a market determined price which impacts the yield to maturity. Mayberry trades and facilities client trades of fixed income securities in both the local and international markets.

Equity Trading

An equity is a security that represents the ownership of a fraction of a Company. This entitles the owner of the stock to a proportion of the Company's assets and profit equal to how much stock they own. Units of stocks are called "shares". Stocks are bought and sold predominantly through a listed exchange, though there can be private sales as well.
