NCBFG reports 4% decrease in three months net profit attr. to shareholders

Unaudited financials for the first first quarter ended December 31, 2025:

NCB Financial Group Limited (NCBFG) for the first quarter ended December 31, 2025, reported a 1% decrease in interest income totaling $31.83 billion compared to $32.04 billion in the corresponding three months last year.

Interest expense amounted to $11.11 billion (2024: $12.04 billion), this represents a decrease of 8% year over year. Consequently, net interest income increased by 4% to $20.72 billion compared to $20.01 billion for the first quarter ended December 31, 2024.

Net fee and commission income decreased by 8% to close at $7.08 billion (2024: $7.68 billion), while Net result from banking and investment activities decreased by 25% from $33.91 billion in 2024 to $25.37 billion for the three months. Also, Net income from insurance activities for the first quarter amounted to $8.18 billion, a 551% increase relative to $1.26 billion reported in 2024.

Consequently, Net operating income for the three months amounted to $33.54 billion, a 5% decrease relative to $35.17 billion reported in 2024.

Total operating expenses totalled $26.23 billion a 5% decrease from the corresponding period last year. (2024: $27.74 billion).

Operating Profit for the first quarter ended December 31, 2025, amounted to $7.31 billion, a 2% decrease relative to $7.43 billion reported in 2024.

Profit before Taxation for the three months had a 2% decrease to reach $7.49 billion (2024: $7.66 billion).

Taxation for the three months amounted to $2.40 billion, a 2% decrease from the $2.44 billion reported in 2024. As such, Net Profit decreased by 1% to $5.09 billion (2024: $5.15 billion).

Net Profit Attributable to Shareholders for the first quarter totalled $2.53 billion, relative to the $2.63 billion reported twelve months prior.

Consequently, Earnings Per Share for the three months amounted to $0.98 (2024: EPS: $1.02). The twelve-month trailing EPS was $8.91, and the number of shares used in these calculations was 2,584,599,847.

Notably, NCBFG’s stock price closed the trading period on February 12, 2026, at a price of $41.61 with a corresponding P/E ratio of 4.67x.

Balance Sheet Highlights

The company’s assets totalled $2.42 trillion (2024: $2.29 trillion). The growth in total assets was largely due to ‘Investment Securities’ growing by $126.55 billion or 14% year-over-year to close at $1.03 Trillion.

Shareholder’s equity was $197.47 billion (2024: $168.17 billion), representing a book value per share of $76.40 (2024: $65.07).
