Board Appointment: SSL Venture Capital Jamaica Limited (SSLVC)

SSL Venture Capital Jamaica Limited (SSLVC)  has advised of the following changes:

  • Gavin Valentine and Mr. Kadeen Mairs were appointed to the Board of Directors as at May 5, 2019; and
  • Zachary Harding, Dr Germaine Spencer, Mr. Harry Abrikian and Ms Cecile Watson were appointed to the Board of Director as at June 1, 2019.
  • Drew Gray and Mr. Sheldon Powe resigned from the Board of Directors effective May 5, 2019.  Mr. Gerald Wight tendered his resignation to the Board of Directors effective June 4, 2019.
  • Anya Hylton has been appointed Company Secretary effective May 1, 2019 replacing Miss Denise Douglas who resigned as of that date.

SSLVC has also advised that Messrs. Wight and Gray were members of the Audit Committee serving in the capacity as Chairman and Member respectively, and that their resignations were not in relation to any disagreement in respect of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure or any other material use impacting the Audit Committee or the members’ ability to properly carry out their functions delegated by the Board.

SSLVC further advised that Mr. Harry Abrikian replaces Mr. Gerald Wight as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
