Audited financials for the year ended December 31, 2025:

Berger Paints Jamaica Limited (BRG) for the year ended December 31, 2025, reported a 4% decrease in Revenue totaling $3.34 billion compared to $3.49 billion in the corresponding period last year. Revenue for the fourth quarter had a 22% decrease to close at $933.26 million compared to $1.20 billion for the comparable quarter of 2024.

  • Raw materials and consumable used amounted to $1.82 billion (2024: $1.61 billion), this represents a increase of 13% year over year.
  • Changes in inventories of finished goods and work in progress increased by 7390% to $206.73 million compared to $2.76 million for the year ended December 31, 2024.
  • Employee benefits expense increased by 3% to close at $667.20 million (2024: $649.50 million).
  • Other operating expense decreased by 5% from $946.61 million in 2024 to $898.05 million in the period under review.
  • Manufacturing expenses for the year ended December 31, 2025, amounted to $65.82 million, a 3% decrease relative to $67.65 million reported in 2024.

Consequently, Total Expenses for the year ended December 31, 2025, amounted to $3.56 billion, a 5% increase relative to $3.38 billion reported in 2024. Total Expenses for the fourth quarter amounted to $1.09 billion (2024: $1.02 billion).

Other income totalled $42.77 million a 33% increase from the corresponding period last year. (2024: $32.06 million).

Profit before Taxation for the year ended December 31, 2025, amounted to $37.78 million, a 75% decrease relative to $151.84 million reported in 2024. Profit before Taxation for the fourth quarter amounted to $7.72 million (2024: $140.35 million).

Taxation for the year ended December 31, 2025, had a 38% decrease to reach $28.44 million (2024: $46.16 million). As such, Net Profit for the year amounted to $9.34 million, a 91% decrease from the $105.68 million reported in 2024. For the fourth quarter, Net Loss was $8.69 million (2024: Net profit of $96.61 million).

Consequently, Earnings Per Share for the year amounted to $0.04 (2024: EPS: $0.49), while Loss Per Share for the quarter totaled $0.04 (2024: EPS: $0.45). The twelve-month trailing EPS was $0.04, and the number of shares used in these calculations was 214,322,393.

Notably, BRG’s stock price closed the trading period on February 27, 2026, at a price of $5.80 with a corresponding P/E ratio of 133.06x.

Balance Sheet Highlights

The company’s assets totalled $3.06 billion (2024: $2.45 billion). The growth in total assets was primarily due to ‘Inventories’ increasing by $551.15 million or 81% to close the period at $1.23 billion.

Shareholder’s equity was $1.07 billion (2024: $1.17 billion), representing a book value per share of $4.99 (2024: $5.45).
