Unaudited financials for the nine months ended June 30, 2026:
Jamaica Teas Limited (JAMT) for the nine months ended June 30, 2026, reported an 8% increase in Operating Revenues totalling $2.85 billion compared to $2.63 billion in the corresponding period last year. Operating Revenues for the third quarter increased by 8% to $964.89 million compared to $893.89 million for the comparable quarter of 2025.
Cost of Goods Sold amounted to $2.26 billion (2025: $2.09 billion), representing an increase of 8% year over year. Consequently, Gross Profit increased by 9% to $590.24 million compared to $539.99 million for the nine months ended June 30, 2025. Gross Profit for the third quarter amounted to $199.67 million, representing an 8% increase from $184.45 million reported for the corresponding quarter of 2025.
Investment Income improved to $177.25 million, compared to an Investment Loss of $10.45 million in the prior year. For the third quarter, Investment Income increased by 204% to $227.55 million compared to $74.83 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025. Other Income increased by 49% to $3.86 million from $2.59 million in 2025.
Sales and Marketing Costs increased by 52% to $49.74 million from $32.65 million in 2025, while Administration Costs increased by 9% to $412.80 million from $378.04 million in the period under review. As a result, total Sales and Marketing and Administration Costs amounted to $462.54 million, representing a 13% increase relative to $410.68 million reported in 2025.
Operating Profit for the nine months ended June 30, 2026 amounted to $308.81 million, representing a 154% increase from $121.46 million reported in 2025. Operating Profit for the third quarter amounted to $279.55 million, compared to $116.00 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025. The increase was mainly supported by improved Investment Income, higher Operating Revenues and improved Gross Profit.
Finance Costs decreased by 5% to $48.10 million from $50.67 million in 2025. Profit Before Taxation for the nine months ended June 30, 2026 amounted to $260.72 million, representing a 268% increase from $70.79 million reported in 2025. For the third quarter, Profit Before Taxation amounted to $256.66 million, compared to $99.53 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025.
Taxation increased to $64.17 million from $2.25 million in 2025. Consequently, Net Profit for the nine months ended June 30, 2026 increased by 187% to $196.55 million compared to $68.54 million in the prior year. For the third quarter, Net Profit amounted to $192.06 million, compared to $77.94 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025.
Net Profit Attributable to Owners of Jamaican Teas Limited amounted to $166.15 million, representing a 38% increase from $120.16 million in 2025. For the third quarter, Net Profit Attributable to Owners of Jamaican Teas Limited amounted to $107.75 million, compared to $67.82 million in the prior year’s quarter.
Consequently, Earnings Per Share for the nine months amounted to $0.08 compared to $0.06 in 2025, while Earnings Per Share for the third quarter amounted to $0.05 compared to $0.03 for the corresponding quarter of 2025. The twelve-month trailing EPS was approximately $0.12, and the number of shares used in these calculations was 2,179,680,377.
Notably, JAMT’s stock price closed the trading period on August 13, 2026, at $2.17. Using the twelve-month trailing EPS of approximately $0.12, this represents a P/E ratio of approximately 17.37x.
Balance Sheet Highlights
The company’s Total Assets amounted to $5.69 billion at June 30, 2026, representing a 5% increase from $5.42 billion in 2025. The increase was mainly driven by Quoted Investments, which rose to $2.25 billion from $1.97 billion, as well as Inventories excluding Housing, which increased to $751.07 million from $567.52 million. Fixed Assets also increased to $986.97 million from $935.32 million, while Investment Properties rose to $415.00 million from $390.50 million.
Stockholders’ Equity increased to $3.46 billion from $3.26 billion in 2025, representing a book value per share of approximately $1.59 compared to $1.50 in the prior year.
