Net International Reserves – February 2026

BOJ has reported that Jamaica’s Net International Reserves as at February 28, 2026, stood at US$6,804.10 million, reflecting an increase of US$72.51 million when compared to the US$6,731.59 million reported at the end of January 2026.

Foreign Assets totalled US$6,817.08 million, US$72.44 million more than the US$6,744.64 million reported in January 2026.

‘Currency & Deposits’ held by the BOJ as at February 28, 2026, totalled US$3,650.74 million, reflecting an increase of US$69.73 million compared to the US$3,581.01 million reported in January 2026.

‘Securities’ were valued at US$2,935.47 million; US$16.17 million more than the US$2,919.30 million reported at the end of January 2026. The country’s Special Drawing Rights decreased to US$193.26 million relative to the US$206.53 million recorded a month prior.

‘IMF Reserve Position’ decreased to US$37.60 million from the US$37.79 million reported last month. Liabilities to the IMF decreased to reach US$12.98 million, reflecting a US$0.07 million fall.

Presently, the country’s foreign exchange reserves are US$1,331.05 million, or 24.32% more than the US$5,473.05 million held by the BOJ at the end of February 2025. The current NIR supports approximately 55.92 weeks of goods imports and 36.20 weeks of goods and services imports.
