RPL reports six months net profit of $80.39 million

Unaudited financials for the six months ended June 30, 2026:

Regency Petroleum Company Limited (RPL) for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reported an 80% increase in Operating Revenue totaling $1.56 billion compared to $864.48 million in the corresponding period last year. Operating Revenue for the second quarter had a 108% increase to close at $894.95 million compared to $430.35 million for the comparable quarter of 2025.

Year to date, Direct expenses amounted to $1.32 billion (2025: $701.57 million), this represents an increase of 88% year over year. Consequently, gross profit increased by 49% to $242.28 million compared to $162.91 million for the six months ended June 30, 2025. The company booked gross profit of $145.47 million for the second quarter versus $91.68 million reported for the similar quarter of 2025.

Year to date, administrative expenses increased by 26% to close at $118.07 million (2025: $93.63 million), while selling & distribution expenses increased to $395,689 in the period under review (2025: $6,860). As a result, operating profit for the six months ended June 30, 2026 amounted to $125.65 million, an 80% increase relative to $69.87 million reported in 2025.

Finance Costs totalled $45.34 million, a 142% increase from the corresponding period last year (2025: $18.77 million), reflecting higher loan interest, one-time commitment fees and bank charges related to the Company’s CIBC Caribbean financing. Finance Costs for the second quarter amounted to $23.53 million (2025: $9.84 million).

Pretax Profit for the six months ended June 30, 2026, amounted to $80.39 million, a 57% increase relative to $51.11 million reported in 2025. Pretax Profit for the second quarter amounted to $53.86 million (2025: $36.03 million).

No tax charge was incurred for the six months ended June 30, 2026 (2025: nil), reflecting the Company’s Junior Market tax remission. As a result, Net Profit for the six months amounted to $80.39 million, a 57% increase from the $51.11 million reported in 2025. For the second quarter, Net Profit was $53.86 million (2025: $36.03 million).

Consequently, Earnings Per Share for the six months amounted to $0.056 (2025: EPS: $0.036), while Earnings Per Share for the quarter totaled $0.038 (2025: EPS: $0.025). The twelve-month trailing EPS was $0.10, and the number of shares used in these calculations was 1,435,786,770.

Notably, RPL’s stock price closed the trading period on August 14, 2026, at a price of $4.21 with a corresponding P/E ratio of 42.05x.

Balance Sheet Highlights
The company’s assets totalled $1.86 billion (2025: $1.07 billion). The movement in total assets was mainly attributable to a $301.40 million (62%) increase in ‘Property, plant and equipment’ amounting to $791.41 million (2025: $490.01 million) and the recognition of $171.08 million in ‘Goodwill’ (2025: nil) following the Yaad Man LPG acquisition, together with a 153% increase in ‘Receivables’ to $268.72 million (2025: $106.10 million).

Shareholder’s equity was $709.92 million (2025: $565.95 million), representing a book value per share of $0.49 (2025: $0.39).
