SOS Reports 52% Increase in Six Months Net Profit

Unaudited financials for the six months ended June 30, 2026:

Stationery and Office Supplies Limited (SOS) for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reported a 2% increase in Revenue totalling $1.01 billion compared to $985.23 million in the corresponding period last year. Revenue for the second quarter increased by 5% to $469.44 million compared to $447.76 million for the comparable quarter of 2025.

Cost of Sales amounted to $437.43 million (2025: $461.20 million), representing a 5% decrease year over year. Consequently, Gross Profit increased by 9% to $571.37 million compared to $524.03 million for the six months ended June 30, 2025. Gross Profit for the second quarter amounted to $269.75 million, representing a 9% increase from $248.59 million reported for the corresponding quarter of 2025.

Other Income increased to $3.72 million from $1.13 million in 2025, while Administrative and General Expenses decreased by 2% to $317.27 million from $323.66 million in the prior year. Selling and Promotional Costs remained relatively stable at $81.77 million compared to $82.10 million in 2025. Depreciation and Amortisation amounted to $28.82 million, representing a 29% increase relative to $22.39 million reported in 2025.

Operating Profit for the six months amounted to $147.23 million, representing a 52% increase relative to $97.00 million reported in 2025. Operating Profit for the second quarter amounted to $62.01 million, compared to $17.92 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025. The improvement was mainly driven by higher revenue, stronger gross margins and effective control of operating expenses.

Finance Income amounted to $4.97 million, representing an 18% decrease from $6.08 million in the prior year, while Finance Costs declined by 19% to $1.28 million compared to $1.57 million in 2025. Foreign Exchange Gains increased to $5.22 million from $4.01 million in the prior year. The company also recorded a Gain on Disposal of Property, Plant and Equipment of $3.90 million, compared to $1.20 million in the corresponding period last year.

Profit Before Tax for the six months ended June 30, 2026 amounted to $160.03 million, a 50% increase relative to $106.73 million reported in 2025. For the second quarter, Profit Before Tax amounted to $71.73 million, compared to $23.05 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025.

Income Tax Expense for the six months amounted to $18.36 million, representing a 38% increase from $13.33 million in 2025. Consequently, Net Profit for the six months amounted to $141.67 million, a 52% increase compared to $93.39 million in the prior year. For the second quarter, Net Profit amounted to $62.87 million, compared to $19.84 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025.

Consequently, Earnings Per Share for the six months amounted to $0.06 compared to $0.04 in 2025, while Earnings Per Share for the second quarter amounted to $0.03 compared to $0.01 for the corresponding quarter of 2025. The twelve-month trailing EPS was approximately $0.08, based on 2,251,084,500 shares outstanding.

Notably, SOS’s stock price closed the trading period at $1.54, with a corresponding P/E ratio of 19.17x.

Balance Sheet Highlights

The company’s Total Assets amounted to $2.22 billion at June 30, 2026, representing a 9% increase from $2.04 billion in 2025. The increase was mainly driven by Cash and Cash Equivalents, which rose to $551.14 million from $472.47 million, as well as Trade and Other Receivables, which increased to $210.23 million from $144.65 million. Property, Plant and Equipment also increased to $997.54 million from $962.61 million, while Intangible Assets rose to $13.60 million from $6.40 million.

Shareholders’ Equity increased to $1.78 billion from $1.65 billion in 2025, representing a book value per share of approximately $0.79 compared to $0.73 in the prior year.
